About Us

Who We Are

Since 2013, we have been organized as a 501(c)3 organization (donations are tax deductible) with the goal of helping our schools improve student proficiency in literacy and science. As a volunteer organization, we seek to enhance our community’s ability to grow economically through a better educated population with knowledge and skills that are important to our economy.

Our Goal

Our goal is to create excitement about learning so it becomes a lifelong pursuit by the members of our community. While our initial work has been with the public schools, the Educational Foundation of Lower Florence County intends to help all students, public or private, child or adult, achieve the level of education he or she aspires to reach.
