A billionaire’s secret to success

Billionaires have a secret to their success. So do most successful people. They try to know more about their subject than others. Most of that edge comes from knowing what smart people have to say. And smart people write books. So, if you want to get ahead, one of the fastest ways is to read more. Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor, reads 500 pages a day. He says that, when he was younger, he read from 600 to 1000 pages a day. Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg read at least a book a week. But not just any books. They read books that teach or inspire them. When Elon Musk was asked how he learned so much about rockets, he said, “I read books.” So, what is your secret to success? What are you reading? Check out what they read at https://www.blinkist.com/posts/reading-habits-of-highly-successful-people?utm source+cpp.

The five reading habits of successful people, according to http://The Strive Team are: 1. Frequent the library. This will encourage you to finish reading the book in a given time frame. 2. Ensure that a book is always easily accessible. Having a book you want to read handy will make it more likely you actually read. 3. Set aside time and set a timer. Discipline yourself to read and not be distracted. 4. Spend time reading before bed. Reading will help you sleep better, and your mind will remember what you read better as well. 5. Give the book at least 3 chapters. Some books start slowly and may not engage you. You should know by the third chapter if it has anything to offer you.

It’s always difficult to find the time to read but being successful requires effort. If you discipline yourself to read more books which instruct and inspire you, you will reap the rewards. After all, if this is a billionaire’s secret, it might be worthwhile for you too.
